Monsoon Withdrawal Continues in Full Swing After Lull of 10 Days

Monsoon withdrawal had halted for 10 days due to unfavourable withdrawal conditions from October 3rd to 13th. Active weather systems prevented the further withdrawal. But as soon as the weather systems fizzled out with the change in wind direction from easterly to north/ northwesterly. The moisture reduced significantly making way for clear skies. This caused monsoon to rapidly withdraw from entire Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Sikkim,  Parts of (Maharashtra, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Triprura). This retreat took place on 14th and 15th October.

The withdrawal line of the southwest monsoon passes through Lumding, Kailashahar, Berhampore, kanke, Bilaspur, Brahmapuri, Buldana, and Dahanu.
