India:

Snowfall: Due to the Western Disturbance over the Jammu & Kashmir the union territories Jammu & Kashmir, as well as higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, are very likely to observe light snowfall at many places with moderate snowfall at isolated places. Sikkim & Arunachal Pradesh is very likely to receive light snowfall at isolated places.

Rain:  Due to the Western Disturbance over the Jammu & Kashmir the union territories Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana are very likely to witness light rains at many places & moderate rain at one or two places. Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to receive light rains at few places. remaining regions of the country are very likely to remain dry.

Temperature: The minimum temperature of northwest India is very likely to rise by a couple of degrees, the reason for such rise is due to the W.D, Due to which south-easterly winds will replace the northwesterly winds causing a rise in minimum temperature. The minimum temperature of central India will rise tomorrow. No significant change in the temperature of the rest of the country.

Wind: Strong winds (30-40 kmph) are likely to be seen over the Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Himachal, and Uttrakhand during thunderstorm activities.

Fog: Nil.

Cold-Wave Conditions: Nil

Thunderstorm: Due to the Western Disturbance isolated places of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal and Uttrakhand will observe thunderstorms, Thunderstorms with gusty winds very likely at many places over Punjab & Haryana.


Lowest Minimum & Highest Maximum Temperature Recorded Yesterday:

  • The lowest minimum temperature of 5.0 C was recorded at Alwar in East Rajasthan over the plains of the country.
  • The highest maximum temperature of 37.5 C was recorded at Vengurla in Konkan.

  • The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation at 3.6 km above mean sea level over Kashmir & neighborhood now lies over eastern parts of Kashmir & neighborhood.
  • A fresh Western Disturbance as a trough in westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level runs roughly along Long. 63°E to the north of Lat. 30°N.
  • The trough in westerlies between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level now runs roughly along Long. 94°E to the north of Lat. 25°N.
