All India Monsoon Season Rainfall Status as of Today:
Presently the seasonal Monsoon trough lies close to the foothills of Himalayas due to which the weather over central India has gone dry with only isolated places receiving light to moderate rains. As the trough was persisting over foothills of the Himalayas the U.P, Bihar along with the whole Northeastern India recorded Heavy to very heavy rains for many days with isolated places Receiving extreme heavy rains. The well-marked low-pressure area also had a huge impact over this area giving torrential rain. Now the rain intensity has come down marginally as the above system has dissipated. Due to this torrential rains the rainfall deficiency  of East and Northeast India has fallen down dramatically which is now seen in the normal category. From 1st June 2019 to 16th July 2019, Our country has recorded 265.9 mm of rains against the normal of 308.4 mm of rains which have resulted in countrywide deficiency to the tune of 14%.
