Monsoon Report of Maharashtra State as on 12th July 2019


Night Post:
Yesterday, South Konkan & Goa region received heavy to very heavy rains which resulted in large excess rain to the tune of 64.3mm against the normal of 29mm i.e (122%), The Marathawada and Madhya Maharashtra subdivision also received rains in Large excess category about 93% and 83% respectively. The Vidarbha Subdivision recorded almost no rains only isolated pockets received very light rain making it large deficient to the tune of -93% on 12th July 2019. The Maharashtra state as a whole recorded 11.7mm of rain against the normal of 9.7mm on 12th July 2019 which 21% more than normal.  

Rainfall Figure for Maharashtra State from 1st June 2019 to 12th July 2019:
The Maharashtra state receives about 332.9mm of rain from 1st June 2019 to 12th July 2019, but this monsoon season till now the state has received about 338.8mm of rain which is surplus by 2% and comes under the normal category. The reason for such recovery is due to continuous rains for last many days(particularly the Konkan-Goa and Madhya Maharashtra Subdivision).

Marathawada: Mostly dry weather with isolated places witnessing light rains.

Madhya Maharashtra: Light to moderate rains are likely with partly cloudy conditions.
